Computer systems and the Internet in general has a number of words and acronyms that to many seem like a different language, this can be very off puting to the new user and is actually often not necassary when it comes to explaining how systems work.

The purpose of this section of the site is to give you some of the most common used "scary" words and give you a plain simple to understand explanation of thier meaning, so you can surf with confidance, impress your friends or catch out the computer sales agent when they are trying to blind you with science

Another tip we recommend is something that we do ourselves, try to google (or your own preffered search engine) your word. Even the most technical users now and then forget the meaning of a certain acroynm or word so fire in a search so they quickly sound like they know what they are talking about on the other end of your support call
